Word processing also provides students an alternative option to handwritten assignments and reports. Microsoft Word and other full-featured word processors also offer a variety of reviewing, collaboration, desktop publishing options, and writing supports in addition to basic word processing. Collaborative word processors are becoming more widely used in education; particularly Google Docs.
